I’ve been pondering about many things.
One of which is the question wether we and other animals have souls.
We could all just be biological robots, only stimulated by chemical reactions in our brains triggered by outside stimuli. Or the essence that defines us might be what we call a soul.
If the latter is true then I see no reason why animals wouldn’t posess one of these. After having had so many pets and having seen so many human traits in them in captivity and in the wild. A sense of humor, compassion etc.
So I can understand some vegetarian’s motives. And eventhough I’m not one of them I can respect that (as long as they also grow their own vegetables and not eat the mass production ones you find in the supermarket which in the process of harvesting grind up masses of fieldmice, birds and other wildlife happening to live/nest in the cropfields
)
But a while ago I saw the strangest thing on TV.
And I know you shouldn’t believe all you see on TV, but I’ve done some research and found that there actually is research being done for this….
Let me tell you what I saw.
A crime show which shows several cases had a case where a man was murdered in his own home.
There’d been no one there to whitness it so it was hard to find any leads.
They did have a few suspects but they weren’t sure.
There’d been this new research going on about plants and the electrical emissions they let out under different circumstances and what they are for. And they had a test in mind.
They picked this case as a first try out to see what results they’d get.
The guy was found dead in a room with plants.
They brought the plants to the line up of suspects and put one after another in the room with them.
One of the suspects triggered an enormous amount of electrical emissions from the plants.
And yes, after further questioning he confessed.
Weird stuff I know.
Makes you wonder wether we should become fruitarians instead, eating plants might be murder too
So yeah, be nice to your plants.
Play the music they like. And give em lots of attention.
They might stick up for you one day
Many many many many many many many many *breath* many! Thanks to Nipper for the RSS feed linky

Since everyone was groaning and moaning about having to sign up for LiveJournal to be able to comment on my blog (can’t blame em), I decided to install WordPress. Heard a bit about it, and it seemed like a much handier alternative. Free, customizable and hosted on my own server
So ya. For any older entries than this one, go here
